What to Know
This trip takes place from late June to mid July
The weather can be unpredictable and as a result the water might be choppy from wind
The temperature of the water will be about 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
It is important to be physically fit for this trip with no back, arm, neck or wrist injuries
We use both single and double kayaks, so be prepared to alternate between both
Minimum age is 16 years old

Not included: Airfare, accommodation, meals and beverages in Longyearbyen, sleeping bag, travel insurance, clothing, and equipment.
Itinerary
Day 1: TRAVEL TO TOLDIABUKTA
After being picked up at your hotel, take part in an informational briefing and packing of equipment. Then take Polarcirkel boats to Yoldiabukta where your excursion will begin. Enjoy shelter from the Arctic wind and weather while enjoying the view of the Wahlenberg glacier at your camp. Here you will go over basic safety training and instructions.
Day 2: BEGIN KAYAKING SAFARI
Today you will pass by Wahlenberg and Svea glaciers, while passing the fjord to set up camp on the northern side. In the midnight sun you can listen to the glaciers calving.
Day 3-4: EXPLORE ISFJORDEN
Paddle along the inner part of Isfjorden where icy glaciers and lush greenery stand side by side. Get out of your kayak and stretch your legs on land for a bit.
Day 5: JOURNEY TO KAPP SMITH
Take the inner part of Ekmanfjorden around Kapp Waern and head to Kapp Smith. Nearby you will see few of the remaining active trapper stations in Spirtsbergen.
Day 6:
Enjoy your final day in Kapp Smith before being brought back to Longyearbyen by boat.
